ACK Bishop Liverson Mng’onda and clergy of Voi Archdeaconry yesterday held special prayers for Boda boda riders in Voi. While speaking during the function the Bishop said Boda boda riders were playing a key role in the transport sector. He noted that many riders and passengers had died in accidents involving motorbikes. The Bishop cautioned Boda boda riders to be extra careful while doing their business. He urged them to spend their money wisely and ensure that they find time go to church.
Speaking during the function, Bodaboda chairman Mr. Mohammed urged riders to ensure that they respected the law to avoid being arrested. He said the law requires riders and passengers to wear helmets and reflectors. Riders should also have valid license and insurance cover.
